Spring 2015

I applied for Dieter to get into our local schools Spanish program. It starts in 1st grade. I didn't want him scared the first day of Spanish, so I enrolled him Kindergarten. I was originally homeschooling, but with much prayer, decided the Spanish program would be best for Dieter. And he did get accepted to the program! This was the best picture he would give me on his first day of Kindergarten.

 

And he lost his first tooth.

Samantha and Nellie cut Nellie's hair :( I was sad for weeks. 

She must have been crying in this picture because her eyes are all puffy.

This is the only picture I took from Easter. I need to do better at picking up my camera.

The girls are on a Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Bingham's 

The girls love going for rides in Daddy's tractor. 

Kimball and I went back to South Carolina to visit a friend. It was so much fun. We haven't gone on a trip with just the two of us for years. We visited a plantation one day and saw alligators. I loved it! I hope we can go back soon! I regret not getting any pictures of the two of us while we were there. However, I did take one picture of Kimball. He was thrilled ;) South Carolina is so beautiful! And green!  

Dieter needed a sock puppet for school so naturally I made Samantha and Nellie one too. 

I love these kiddos! 

March Birthdays

Kimball and I celebrated our birthdays in March.

Dieter was so excited to get Kimball a gift :) 

And I turned 30. I wasn't too excited about that. 

 

Disneyland 2015

We went to Disneyland with our kids and a few friends. It was so much fun! 

We borrowed a 4-seat stroller from my sister. 

You would not believe the amount of comments and looks we received from people!

Seriously! I guess we were quite the sight :)

A Few Pictures

Samantha had a reaction to something!

They aren't sure if it was the antibiotic or the MMR Vaccine.

Either way, this little girlie looked like this for a few days. I'm glad it passed! 

Dieter had to climb the rolls of wire as soon as they were unloaded off the truck.

I made them pose for a picture :)

A Few Low Quality Birthday Pictures

Sweet little Nellie turned 2! 

She opened her presents first thing in the morning. We gave her a toddler bed, which I am in love with. It's the cutest little thing! She sleeps okay in it. Luckily, she can't open her door, so she's locked in until we let her out in the morning. 

 

And it turns out we are terrible at taking pictures!

Sorry Nellie. This is all we have on your birthday. You must be the 3rd child ;)

 

 

 

Christmas 2014

Hello Again!

I have neglected this little space. I was reading over my blog and realized how much I love having our life

documented. I love having little posts about my kids, and bits and pieces about our life.

So, here I am again.

I hope to post more often so I can look back and see how special this time is. My kids are

growing so quickly and I feel so grateful to be their mom. Three kids has been hard for me... I don't

think I am very patient...I yell far too often...I could go on and on about my weaknesses... But, I am so

grateful to be a mother. I feel God's hand daily in my life. I'm grateful for his love and the strength he gives

me, in-spite of my many weaknesses. Anyway, here are a few pictures from Christmas.

And you should know, I think I was sleeping in school when we learned about grammar...

Dieter was very happy to get "Spidey" and Samantha LOVES babies.

Nellie also loves babies! Here she has 3 babies on the floor while she feeds the 4th baby.

Dear Children,

My mom has the cutest costumes for the grandkids to act out the nativity on Christmas night!

July 2014

To start off July, we went camping with my family.

You can see last year's camping trip here.

I can't ever get my kids to look at the camera at the same time...

Samantha, Nellie and Aunt Chantel going on a hike.

 The view was gorgeous at the end of our hike.

 

I have been telling Kimball that I want to take our own little family on a hike. He said "No".

One time we went hiking before we had kids...He tied a rope to his backpack...

and dragged me up the mountain. It was a good time :) 

Apricot season is my favorite!

One weekend we went to Park City. 

Kimball and Dieter enjoyed the Alpine Slide.

 Samantha liked the airplane ride.

 

 

We were able to attend the Ogden Temple open house.

It is so beautiful!

The kids liked the water the best!

Life

Kimball bought his first tractor. I told him he's a real farmer now ;)

He told me he's not a farmer, he only owns 1 small field...

We went for a ride and it's probably our last. 

A family of 5 doesn't fit in the cab very well.

On a side note, Mantas told us she wants to be called "Sami" now.

That sounds like a whole different person...

It's old, but I think it's pretty good looking. 

I told Dieter to smile. This is what I got...

One night we went to a camp ground with Kimball's family.

The kids loved it! Anything outdoors is a big hit. 

Nellie is telling me she wants to swing. 

Have you tried swinging lately?

My child bearing hips are much to wide for a swing!

Nellie and I went back and forth for a minute and that was enough for me. 

Kimball was better to swing until he got dizzy. We must be getting old :)  

I made Samantha and Nellie peasant dresses. This was the best picture I could get.

Dieter insisted on being in the picture with his sword. 

Samantha thought she was pretty big climbing the net at a park.

Dieter was "Star of the Day" at church. He was so excited! He received it for being reverent.

Sometimes I wonder how he behaves at church.

One day we learned he was yelling, "Bombs-Away" right before he jumped off his chair. 

And Dieter is pretty shy...

Kimball and I couldn't help but giggle at that story...

Kimball has killed our meat chickens.

They are now tucked away in our freezer.

Dieter likes to wear his shirt on backwards. Silly boy!

Sorry for the blood but it's part of raising our own meat. 

 

It seems these days I can't get myself to bed before midnight. Goodness Gracious!

My children have already been sleeping 5 hours before I climb into bed. 

Morning comes quickly...I'm saying this because I need to get to bed :) 

 

Happy Birthday Kiddos

We had a little Birthday party for Dieter and Samantha. 

Dieter turned 5, Samantha 3.

My kids don't like cake, so we put candles in the homemade chocolate ice-cream. 

And...we had steak for dinner.

I should have cleared the table before taking this picture :)

 Grandma's and Grandpa's were able to celebrate with us. 

I love Samantha's new shiny purple boots.

Her pair from last year are too small.

I can't believe it's been another year, and Dieter is 5!

He is getting so big and independent.

He and Samantha are best friends and it is so fun to see them play all day long.

 

 

 

 

 

Grandma's Mulberry Tree

 

 

 

 

Grandma has several Mulberry Trees and the kids can't keep their little fingers out of them.

They come home almost daily with a red stained face, hands, and feet.

I couldn't pass up a picture of all three of them picking the yummy fruit :) 

And my garden is growing! This is the first year we are trying it with wood chips.

Hopefully we won't have to water as often since the wood chips should hold in moisture.

 

This time of year, working outdoors becomes a priority.

We have 23 acres behind our house planted in wheat. That field is a new adventure for us.

We bought the land last year from Kimball's Uncle.

We are hoping (and praying) Kimball will be successful in farming it.

I don't know what the future holds for us and that field,

but there is something so wonderful about farming...

 

I am also trying not to get on the internet as often and practicing my piano instead.

I do love the piano! I should have taken lessons long before now :)
